Gracie is a 9-year-old yellow English Labrador who was a breeder dog in Oregon before becoming a Santa Barbara resident and an ARF! therapy dog. Gracie currently inspires children to become better readers at Hope Elementary School and the Santa Barbara Public Library, and she helps calm Santa Barbara City College students before finals week. Buttercup, a five-year-old Golden Retriever, is our Canine Ambassador and ARF! Therapy Dog of the month. And since February is the month of love, we encourage you to read about Buttercup and think about adopting a new furry friend of your own! Our Santa Barbara shelters are filled with dogs, cats, and even bunnies, waiting to find a loving home.
